Jenny Kokkas
27 Μαρτίου 1941 – 15 Φεβρουαρίου 2023
It is with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother Jenny at the age of 81. She spent her final days at Bridgepoint Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was a caring wife to her husband George, to whom she was married for 53 years, and a doting mother of Michael (Alise) and Amalia (Conrad). She was the cherished Yiayia of Amalia, Damian, Marcus, and Sienna, who will miss her glowing smile, her warm spirit, and her cooking and baked treats.

Jenny was a kind and proud woman full of life and energy. She was a constant force in her family’s and friends’ lives; a bright guiding light to her children and to her extended family. She enjoyed hosting family and social gatherings, travelling, and spoiling her grandchildren. Jenny was always mindful of being compassionate and giving back to her community. Throughout her life, Jenny donated her time to numerous community organizations, including fifteen years at Toronto East General Hospital in the surgical recovery room as a liaison between patients’ families and the medical staff. She will be dearly missed by those who had the privilege of knowing and loving her.

In addition to her immediate family, Jenny is survived by her sister Despina (Louis), brother Tony, and brother-in-law Larry, along with numerous nephews, nieces, and their children. She is predeceased by her sister Mary and nephew Theodore.

Family and friends may call at St Panteleimon Greek Orthodox Church of Markham, 11323 Warden Ave., Markham, ON L6C 1M9 on 21 February 2023 at 10am for a visitation and funeral service.
